What about 24v?
We can supply an adapter to make almost any product we sell work on 24v as well as 12v. Many products, including all of our 15" Freestanding TVs already include a voltage stabiliser which will allow them to work on voltages from 10v to 28v, but for smaller TVs we generally recommend the AC4520 / AC4515 adapters.... But if in doubt please call us during our office hours (09:30 to 16:30 Monday to Friday) and we will be happy to help. Our number is 01335 345630 or email your question to sales@in21now.co.uk.
Analogue or Digital: What should I buy?
If you have a digital TV (also known as FREEVIEW or DVBT) you will get far more channels, but this often depends upon the quality of the Aerial you are using and the area you are in. Typically, when you are touring you are likely to be in sparsely populated area and therefore less likely to get Digital, but should still recieve a Analogue picture.
The planned "Switch off" of the analogue transmitters is supposed to start in 2008 and finishes in 2012, so in theory a set bought today (2007) is good for say 5 years depending on the area you live in. But how many times have such plans been put back. The last major change was the change from 405 lines to 625 lines, and the last 405 line transmitter was not switched off until 21 years after the new system (625 lines) was first introduced. The PLAN is that once the analogue system is switched off the power on the new digital system will be increased to that sets connected to less than perfect aerial systems will have a better chance of getting a picture.
So, in short, we feel that a dual tuner (i.e. Both analogue and Digital) set is the best option, closely followed by an anlogue TV plus a Freeview Box. Don't buy a digital only TV for mobile use.

Do I need an Aerial?
In general our TVs do not have built in aerials. The exception to this rule is some of the small free-standing sets which have telescopic aerials fitted. Whilst these telescopic will pick up a signal they will not provide the best possible performance and we would recommend the use of a separate TV aerial in most circumstances. A good external aerial is the best solution - but we stock a number of internal and external solutions. If you are using a FREEVIEW set you must have a strong (preferably external) aerial - all freeview sets come with a magnetic digital external aerial which works well in most strong signal areas.
Will my TV work in Europe?
In the UK, we use a TV system called PAL / I. Most of the rest of europe use similar systems called PAL / BG and PAL / DK. All all of our TVs with work with these systems. The exception is France, which uses a system called SECAM L. This system is only supported by around half the units we sell. Please refer to the item decription or email us before ordering. Whatever the case, you will only pick up TV programs broadcast in the particular country. If you want to watch UK TV whilst abroad, your only solution is a satelitte system. FREEVIEW: Most of Europe is in the process of implementing Digital TV (DVB-T) and our Freeview TVs will pick up this signal.
Will Freeview work in Europe?
The majority of European countries have selected the same Freeview standard (DVB-T) for broadcasts so you can pick up Freeview channels in those countries which have implemented the digital signal. Spain, Germany, Italy and France have, like the UK, launched their Freeview service - much of the rest of europe have a trial service.
